Pearl Aday is the adopted daughter of rock legend, Meatloaf. She has traveled with her mother and father as they toured the world. She is also wife of Scott Ian from the band Anthrax, who also plays guitar for Pearl. Pearl has been surrounded by rock ‘n’ roll but also was exposed to soul, country and R&B.

Pearl seems to have a natural ability and passion for music. She shines in her acoustic version of “Wish You Were Here”. She can sing a myriad of songs with her inspirations being Heart, Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks. She also sings back up for the band Motley Crue, as well as; her fathers band. Her voice is both beautiful and soulful.

Her album tells the tale of her own personal struggles in life. She includes songs about being a rock child and her relationship with her mother. She composes her music by compiling her poetry, phrases, titles and ideas that she has jotted down-things that have touched her.

Fans will not be sorry when attending her performances. Pearl has amazing stage presence and continues to deliver a show to remember. I believe that Pearl Aday will be around for years to come and I will enjoy following her career.

Pearl Aday was reared in a musical family. She was adopted by her father “Meat Loaf” Aday, a world-famous musician, when he married her mother. She’s been quoted as saying she “grew up in a guitar case.” Which, according to her stories of her childhood, is not a big exaggeration. She says that she often took a pillow and blanket and slept in a guitar case while her father was in the studio. As a little girl, she would dress in sparkles during her father’s concerts and run scarves out to her father after every song. Pearl sang back up on her father’s musical tours from the time she turned 19 in 1984. She even sang backup for her father at an inaugural ball. Over the years, Pearl sang backup for Mtley Cre and Filter. Working for years in between gigs with her father, Pearl is now fronting her own eponymous band Pearl whose first release was “Little Immaculate White Fox” in 2010. On the single “Rock Child”, her hard rock chops and gravelly voice make you want to get up and slam dance.

Married to Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, they have decided to take a little time off from the music business on the birth of their first child Revel Young Ian.

This month, Pearl Aday and guitarist Scott Ian of Anthrax celebrated the birth of their first child. They are both taking a break from their music careers to enjoy some much-needed down time with their newborn. The coming months will see the pair figuring out how to balance their new baby with their famous, rocking careers.

In addition to Aday being the front person in her very own band, aptly named Pearl, and working with her husband in the band, she and her husband have also opened the Velvet Revolver in the United Kingdom. Before starting her own band, Aday was a backup singer for Motley Crue and collaborated with the Los Angeles-based band, Stella.

To add to her extensive resume, Pearl was also portrayed in Elisabeth Lund’s T.V. movie in 2000 called To Hell and Back.

Perhaps the stint she was originally and most known for was in 1994 as her adopted dad’s back-up singer in Bat out of Hell II’s summer tour, to name the first.

Aday’s famous adopted dad is Meat Loaf. Shortly after marrying Pearl’s mom, Leslie Aday, Meat Loaf made the relationship official with the adoption. Pearl’s biological dad is the drummer for Janis Joplin’s band, Full Tilt Boogie.

Pearl Aday is an American singer and the daughter of Meat Loaf. She was born in 1975 and was adopted by Meatloaf when he married her mother, Leslie Aday, in 1979. Mrs. Aday expressed interest in music very early in life and began her music career by singing backing vocals on some of her father’s albums. She once attended Emerson College and majored in creative writing. She left the school shortly after she attended because she wanted to totally focus on her music career. Even though she grew up in a famous family and did backing vocals for her father, she longed to establish her own career. Ms. Aday released her debut album “Little Immaculate White Fox” in 2010. The album features a cover of the Tina Turner classic “Nutbush Limits” as well as several songs that were written by Aday herself.

When Aday is not busy touring or performing she is home spending time with her family. She is married to Scott Ian, who is a guitarist in the band Anthrax. The couple’s first child , a boy named Revel Young Ian, was born on June 19, 2011. Pearl also has a sister named Amanda Aday, who is an actress.

Pearl Aday first arrived on the scene as one of the back up singers for her father, rock musician Meat Loaf for nine years. It seems her father passed a love of rock down, because she has been surrounded by the music industry her entire life. She went on to duet with her father several times and would later sing back up for Motley Crue, recording a duet co-written and produced by Nikki Sixx for Meat Loaf that was included with the 2003 album Couldn’t Have Said It Better. Pearl then majored in creative writing at Emerson College in Boston before leaving to begin her own solo career. She worked with the Los Angeles band Stella, which disbanded before any music was released. She later went on to form the self-titled band Pearl with members of Mother Superior who were best known as members of The Henry Rollins Band.

Aday married Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian who also plays guitar for her band, and the two have a child together. In 2010, Pearl released her debut album “Little Immaculate White Fox” which has been said to move away from her father’s musical influence, instead leaning heavily toward classic rock with a sound not unlike Janis Joplin.
