Pearl Aday, the adopted daughter of singer Meat Loaf, was born in 1975 and was destined to have a career in the music industry. Graduating from Emerson College in Boston, where she majored in creative writing, Pearl decided music was in her blood. As well as singing back-up for Motley Crue she toured with her fathers Neverland Express touring band for nine years, singing on many albums as back-up and in duets with her father on albums and television appearances.Is this new to you? Pearl is the lead singer in her band of the same name and has her husband, Scott Ian of Anthrax, as guitarist. The band has opened for both Meat Loaf and Velvet Revolver. She rejoined Meat Loaf as an opening act on his 2010 Hang Cool Tour and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her first album titled “Broken Thorny Crown”. Both she and her husband Scott have downtime scheduled for the birth of their first child which is due in July of this year (2011).
So, how many layers make up a Pearl? The world may never truly know that answer to that. All we know is that her talent is on the rise and this Pearl glows.
